Document Description
This project will enhance wildlife habitat on privately owned farmland through the planting of a total of 1,435 linear feet of hedgerows and 0.1 acres of native woody plantings on two properties on the San Mateo County coast. These plantings will consist of native plant species that will attract pollinators and provide shelter and food for wildlife. The installation of hedgerows is a standard conservation practice. This project will require hand-digging holes for plants, installing irrigation, and laying down mulch, and will be implemented by the landowners with support from the San Mateo Resource Conservation District. This project also implements 4.5 acres of range seeding on pasture, implemented via seed drill by the farmer.
