Document Description
Caltrans approves the encroachment permit for Charter Communications to install conduit fiber along Carson St. within Caltrans right-of-way (ROW) by Interstate (I) 605 at post mile (PM) R1.75, as well as perform traffic control activities, within the City of Lakewood, Los Angeles County. The proposed work will involve directional boring and open trench excavation to install 290 linear feet of conduit and two (2) 2 feet by 3 feet utility vaults. Charter Communications is requesting a temporary encroachment permit to access Caltrans ROW at PM R1.75 to complete the above-mentioned work. Excavation will have a maximum depth of 51 inches and minimum depth of 48 inches, and average width and length of 12 inches by 290 linear feet. No public utilities will be relocated, and no new ROW will be acquired.
