Document Description
In partnership with the California Department of Technology (CDT), telecom utility company CVIN, dba Vast Networks (CVIN), is proposing to install broadband cable within existing conduit along State Route (SR) 41 between postmiles R31.679 (North Fraint Road) and R33.126 (north of North Blackstone Avenue) in Fresno County. CVIN has requested an encroachment permit for the undertaking as the cable will be installed within the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) right of way (ROW). Work will include the installation of 9,420 linear feet of new fiber within existing conduit. All existing conduit and vaults will be left in place. All equipment access and staging will occur at the existing vault openings on SR-41. The vaults are located on the west side of SR-41 at postmiles R31.679, R32.132, and R32.474, and on the east side of SR-41 at postmiles R32.825 and R33.126. No ground disturbance will be required. All staging will occur within the maintained portion of the road right-of-way.
