Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-SMO-66810-R3), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project Applicant, Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside, as represented by Kishen Prathivadi.
The project aims to replace aging and deteriorating sewer infrastructure in Montara and will use horizontal directional drilling (HDD) to install a sewer force main underneath five streams. Construction of the force main work is expected to involve installation of an 18-inch diameter high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, and 30-inch diameter steel casings with end seals will be used as a conduit through which the sewer force main would be installed adjacent to existing pipeline profiles. Existing pipelines under streams will be fully cleared, capped on both ends, and abandoned in place. Construction of the force main also includes installation of blow offs at pipeline low points, installation of air release valves at pipeline high points, as well as installation of valves, fittings, appurtenances, and bypass vaults. Construction work includes launching and receiving pits, traffic control, road reconstruction, and tie-ins and connections. Open

within existing roadways.
