Document Description
The purpose of the Project is to remove the existing failing pier and boathouse structure and reconstruct a new pier at the subject property on Donner Lake. The pier and boathouse structure were severely damaged during summer storm events and in their current state pose a hazard to navigation and the public. The reconstructed pier will consist of steel pilings which will be driven using a drop or vibratory hammer operated from a barge or amphibious vehicle. The existing 15 wooden pilings totaling 42.5 square feet (0.0009 acres) of lakebed impact will be removed, and ten driven steel pilings totaling 6.3 square feet (0.0001 acres) of lakebed impact will be installed. The project will result in the re-establishment of 36.2 square feet (0.0008 acres). A site plan is provided as Enclosure 1.
