Document Description
This project involves targeted repairs and upgrades to the Station 55 Hose Room and adjacent exterior areas. Work includes replacing existing east-facing hose room double doors and hardware with new commercial-grade, insulated metal double doors with appropriate weather stripping, panic hardware and secure locking mechanism; removal and repair of damaged stucco with new control joints consistent with ASTM C926 and local building codes; clean and repaint building exterior; remove the existing concrete and underlying sidewalk drainage system near the main apparatus door, install new linear trench drain or area drain with grate and pour replacement concrete to match existing. All work shall be performed in accordance with applicable building codes, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications. The proposed improvements would occur within the existing building footprint and adjacent hardscape improvements. No structural improvements or increases to the building size/capacity or impervious area will be required to implement these improvements.
