Document Description
This project involves targeted repairs and upgrades to the Station 72 apparatus bay, garage area and adjacent exterior areas fronting the building. The work includes removal and replacement of the existing north and south-facing apparatus bay doors (six total), motors and railings with new commercial-grade, metal double doors with appropriate weather stripping, and secure locking mechanism; removal and replacement of a 20'x60' concrete pad in front of the apparatus bay doors; removal of two existing gas-fired l 00 Modem Burner Unit (MBU) heaters within the garage space and replacement with new heaters installed according to manufacturer specifications and applicable mechanical codes. The proposed improvements would occur within the existing building footprint and adjacent hardscape improvements. No structural improvements or increases to the building size/capacity or impervious area will be required to implement these improvements.
