Document Description
The project includes replacing and installing cathodic protection adjacent to existing pipeline infrastructure located within the Water Authority’s service area. This activity includes minor trenching and boring holes for replacement and installation of cathodic protection equipment. Equipment to be replaced and installed includes anode rods, connecting wires, and receivers. All work will occur within the Water Authority’s existing right of way, and work areas will be returned to their preimpact conditions following the completion of work.

Maintenance and replacement of existing facilities and minor alterations to land are specifically categorically exempted from CEQA per the Water Authority's Administrative Code implementing CEQA [§8.00.060(a)1(i), §8.00.060(a)2(i), §8.00.060(a)4(vi)].
