Reasons for Exemption
This action is consistent with Section 15303 Class 3, New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures, which consists construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures; a store, motel, office, restaurant or similar structure not involving the use of significant amounts of hazardous substances, and not exceeding 2,500 square feet in floor area. In this instance, the proposal includes the construction of a 2,400 square-foot metal building to be used as a shop to work on dairy and farm equipment on an existing dairy facility. Therefore, the application of CEQA Section 15303 is applicable and appropriate for this project.
