Project area slopes are moderate (20-40 degrees), with generally south-facing aspect. Vegetation is primarily a Douglas-fir alliance forest with patches of tanoak forest, coyote bush chaparral, and mixed annual and native grassland. This Project is funded by the North Bay Forest Improvement Program. The Project involves vegetation thinning to reduce wildfire risk and improve forest health. Work will be completed using hand crews, hand tools and chainsaws, with cut vegetation piled and burned. The project will avoid impacts to sensitive resources, retain mature trees, and support long-term forest health and fire resilience.
