Document Description
Caltrans proposes upgrading irrigation systems on State Route (SR-) 85, SR-87, US-101, SR-280, and Interstate (I-) 880 in Santa Clara County and installing a water submeter and valve box at the SR-84 Dumbarton Bridge Toll Plaza in Alameda County. The existing irrigation controllers at 18 locations will be upgraded to SMART controllers and the existing irrigation systems will be repaired as needed. No heavy equipment will be necessary – construction will require mostly hand digging or trenching to a maximum depth of 18 inches. Some project elements will occur off the paved roadway.
