Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number NEV-63853-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Nevada County - Department of Public Works.
The project is limited to the removal of the superstructure and steel truss of a closed and obsolete bridge. This project will remove all steel truss members and floor system, Creosote-treated timber decking, stringers, and columns/posts that rest atop the existing concrete piers. The concrete portions of the substructure (abutments, six intermediate piers approximately five feet high) will remain in place. No concrete demolition or excavation below deck elevation is proposed, and no replacement structure will be constructed. All removal work to be completed from the top side of the bridge without the need to work in the channel.
