The Clairemont Mesa East Improvements 1 project has been completed, and no new development or grading is proposed. The public service sewer easement is no longer necessary since the sewer facilities have been realigned and installed within the City's public right-of-way.

Reasons for Exemption
The City of San Diego conducted an environmental review which determined that the project meets the categorical exemption criteria set forth In the CEQA State Guidelines, Section 15305 (Minor Alterations in Land Use Limitations), which allows for minor alterations in land use limitations in areas with an average slope of less than 20%, which do not result In any changes in land use or density. The project site does not contain slopes greater than 20% on average and would not alter land use or increase density. The project is located on a developed site, and no environmental impacts would occur; none of the exceptions listed in Section 15300.2 would apply.
