Document Description
The project will replace approximately 591 linear feet (LF) of existing sidewalks, curbs, and gutters along the north side of Torre Pines Road, between Prospect Street and Coast Walk, with new sidewalks, curbs, and gutters. It will also remove the existing, temporary K-rail barrier and install approximately 350 LF of permanent, California ST-75-type guardrail that will be anchored along the new sidewalk and curb.

The City of San Diego conducted an environmental review which determined that the project meets the categorical exemption criteria as set forth in CEQA State Guidelines, Section 15301 (Existing Facilities), which allows for the repair, maintenance, and minor alteration of existing public facilities, such as sidewalk and curb and gutter; Section 15302 (Replacement or Reconstruction), which allows for the replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structures will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purposed and capacity as the structure replaced, such as sidewalks, curb, and gutter and k-rails; Section 15303 (New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures), which allows for the construction and location of limited numbers of new, small structures, such as new guardrails,; and where the exceptions listed in Section 15300.2 would not apply.
