This Right-of Entry permit is categorically exempt from CEQA pursuant to Section 15301, Existing Facilities as it allows for the maintenance of existing native growth areas. The project is categorically exempt from CEQA pursuant to Section 15304 Minor Alterations to Land as it consists of minor alterations to the condition of land and vegetation that does not involve the removal of health, mature scenic trees except for forestry purposes. The permit is also categorically exempt from CEQA pursuant to Section 15306, Information Collection as it would allow for data collection and research that would not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource. Further, no exceptions listed in CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2 apply to the project. Additionally, the project will not impact environmental resources of hazardous or critical concern that are designated, precisely mapped and officially adopted by government agencies; does not contribute to cumulative environmental impact; will not have a significant impact on the environment due to unusual circumstances; does not damage scenic resources within a designated state scenic highway; and is not on the list of Hazardous Waste and Substance Sites pursuant to Section 65962.5 of the Government Code.
