Document Description
The nature of this project is to improve traffic operations, and provide upgraded pedestrian facilities along Fulkerth Road. The project widens the north side of the road, replaces curb, gutter, and sidewalk, updates traffic signals and lighting, and adds drainage improvements to support the wider roadway. These upgrades bring the corridor in line with the City's Master Plan for future growth and development.

Under CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (c) a project is categorically exempt if it involves the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public facilities where such alterations involve negligible or no expansion of use; and the project qualifies under the general definition of CEQA Section 15301 because it constitutes a minor alteration of an existing roadway and associated facilities, and multimodal operations, and results in negligible expansion of the existing use, with all work occurring entirely within an existing developed transportation corridor.
