Document Description
The project consists of replacement of the existing bypass gate located at MH 32-1285, west of the Saugus Water Reclamation Plant (WRP). A recent inspection found the gate to be in poor condition and in need of replacement. The new bypass gate and associated facilities will be constructed on property owned by the Metropolitan Water District (MWD), at the Green Landscape Nursery site. The scope of work includes installation of a new bypass gate structure, relocation of the gate actuator to an above-grade position to reduce exposure to corrosion, and installation of a new control panel within MWD property to protect it from vehicular traffic.
