Reasons for Exemption
This action is consistent with Class 3 Section 15303, New Construction or Conversion of Small BStructures, which addresses the construction or conversion of small structures. Furthermore, all applicable project design features,
conditions of approval, and regulatory requirements mandated by other agencies shall be fully complied with. The Special Use Permit is for the allowance of an In-Line Amplification Fiber Optic Network Hub (Public Utility Structure), on a 25.09 acre parcel can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment, the activity is not subject to CEQA.
The applicability of Section 15303, Class 3, is warranted given the limited scope of the proposed Project, which encompasses a 2,475 square foot leased area intended to function as an In-Line Amplification Network Hub (fiber hut). The facility will consist of an unoccupied, prefabricated shelter measuring 20 feet by 12 feet (240 square feet), containing server equipment, an emergency backup generator, and an underground propane tank.
