Document Description
Sacramento County Department of Transportation (SacDOT) will resurface roadways within the stated limits using conventional asphalt concrete, rubberized asphalt concrete, or slurry seal over the existing pavement. Associated work includes construction of ADA compliant curb ramps, repairing damaged pavement areas,
conform grinding, adjusting manholes, base repair, and striping of the roadway. All elements of the project will be within the developed roadway, and no new impervious surface area will be installed.

Reasons for Exemption
Class 1 consists of operation, repair, maintenance, or minor alteration of existing public or private facilities, involving negligible or no expansion of the existing use. The subject project includes maintenance and repair of existing roadway sections within Sacramento County right-of-way. The project would be completed within
the developed area of the park and would not require the removal of vegetation or trees. Furthermore, completion of the project would not result in an expansion of the existing use, would result in the continued use of the existing facilities, and is therefore exempt from the provisions of CEQA.
