Document Description
The Project will consist of the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of outdoor canopy on a site previously used as a small mixed-light tier 1 cannabis site. Cultivation activities include an outdoor cultivation area consisting of approx. 8,200 sqft in two (2) 6'x20' beds, three (3) 6'x230' beds, and one (1) 6'x120' bed with 600 sqft of immature canopy,. Existing support infrastructure includes a 1 0'x10' cannabis waste area, a 4'x10' processing shed that will be repurposed as harvest storage, a 4'x12' agricultural chemical/pesticide storage shed with a 2'x3' tote for administrative hold, a permitted groundwater well for both agricultural and domestic purposes, two (2) 39"x77" solar arrays; a 2,500-gallon water storage tank for domestic use; a 3,000-gallon water storage tank for agricultural use;- a 250-gallon and a 300-gallon water storage tank for fire suppression. Proposed activities for the project include the installation of six (6) 1 0'x1 0' sheds for the following uses: processing, harvest storage, administrative hold, two (2) for immature plant canopy, and another for agricultural chemical/pesticide storage; and replace the existing mature canopy areas with three (3) 30'x100' greenhouses in the existing cultivation area for the 2024 season which would result in 9,000 sqft of mature canopy.

The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption project.
Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. None of the exceptions to this exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply.
