Caltrans approves the encroachment permit proposed by American Dark Fiber LLC. The work entails 321 Square feet of concrete cut, 24 linear feet of concrete trench, 25 linear feet of asphalt trench, 124 linear feet of bore, to install one new 3-inch by 5-inch vault, conduit, and fiber optic cable underground on State Route 2 at postmile 3.57, in the City and County of Los Angeles. Excavation will have a maximum depth of 42 inches, an average width of 12 inches, and a maximum length of 163 feet. No public utilities will be relocated, and no new right-of-way will be acquired for the project.
