Document Description
The City of Chico proposes dedicating 11 public utility easements to PG&E along State Route (SR) 32, located within three City-owned parcels (APNs 063-290-011, 063-290-016, and 063-290-062). PG&E identified multiple locations along SR 32 where existing overhead electrical lines require additional structural support due to post-fire conditions and structural vulnerabilities observed after the Park Fire. To address these issues, PG&E proposes installing anchor supports within eleven 75-square-foot areas. These small easements will allow PG&E to stabilize the existing lines and reduce the risk of future failures that could affect public safety and electrical reliability.

The easement dedication has been found to be exempt from environmental review pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15061 (b)(3) which exempts activities covered by the general rule that CEQA applies only to projects which have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. The proposed dedication of easements has no possibility of resulting in a significant effect on the environment as it will not produce any adverse physical change in the environment.
