Document Description
Heavy rainfall can result in significant increased runoff and sediment/debris flows which have historically eroded, washed out, and inundated roadways, public infrastructure, residences, other real property, and entire communities within the Mojave Desert and Southern California mountain communities, posing an imminent threat to life and property. Project includes but is not limited to structural/appurtenant structure repairs, and excavation/removal of accumulated sediment, debris, and rocks from impacted roadways and adjacent tributaries in, including but limited to, the unincorporated communities of Wrightwood, Phelan, Oak Hills, and Pinion Hills, and the City of Hesperia. Any excess material may be used to repair road washouts and erosions, divert flows away from the road and into the ordinary flow path, and/ or may be disposed of off-site.
