Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Professions Code, Section 26012, approved a Medium Mixed-Light Tier 2 commercial cannabis license submitted on 10/1/2025, by LJCC, LLC. The Project will consist of an existing cannabis cultivation facility housed within a 39,600sqft, single story building that includes eight (8) 3,610sqft greenhouse grow areas and 10,720sqft of ancillary uses on a 6.51- acre property. The project will have water needs met by retail water provider Desert Water Agency and electricity needs will be met by Southern California Edison. There will be no expansion or modification to the existing facility.

The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption project. Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. None of the exceptions to this exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply.
