Document Description
The Project consists of: (1) installing three regional-scale Trash Capture Devices (TCDs), designed as offline treatment systems that divert stormwater flows from the main storm drain line for effective trash, debris, and non-point source pollutant removal; and (2) implementing a distributed trash capture system comprising 15 Connector Pipe Screens (CPS) installed within existing catch basins and cleanout structures throughout the storm drain network. All improvements will take place in the public right-of-way. Together, these improvements intercept and retain trash and debris before they are conveyed downstream, while enhancing maintenance efficiency of the existing storm drain infrastructure within the Auburn Creek sub-watershed, a tributary to Chollas Creek. These actions directly support the City’s compliance efforts under the State of California Trash Amendments.
