Document Description
Project proposes to install new bilingual welcome map panels at Great Valley Grasslands State Park to greet and orient visitors upon arrival at the park. To install the panel on the southern side of the Fremont Ford Boat Launch Parking area, work will:
•Excavate to level an area approx. 5-ft wide x 15-ft long x up to 6-in. deep;
•Install pressure treated 4x4 or 4x6 redwood as a border and infill the area with compacted decomposed granite until level and flush with the existing sidewalk;
•Excavate two (2) 18-in. x 24-in. deep holes and set sonotube forms;
•Pour concrete into the forms and set brackets;
•Once concrete is dry, attach the map panel posts to the brackets; and
•Spread excavated soils around the project area, filling in low areas.
