Document Description
Caltrans proposes to reset the life cycle of the traffic monitoring system (TMS) at one location at SR 111 and East Heber Road in Imperial County. Project work consists of removing the existing controller, salvaging equipment, and installing a new controller and contents. The existing TMS has reached its end-of-life cycle, as the components are prone to failure and new equipment is necessary to meet current directives and policies. The Census system is deemed necessary to be replaced to reset its life cycle and to comply with the SB-1 Mandate. There will be no ground or vegetation disturbance as all work will be completed within the existing TMS cabinet. All work is within State Right of Way.
