Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed
Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-TRI-65376-
R1I_Thorne and Donnelly Gulch Restoration, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Northwest California Resource Conservation and Development Council. The project is limited to three restoration components within the historic footprint of the Brown Bear Mine property. The restoration components detailed herein are minor elements of the larger cleanup effort taking place on the property aimed at removing garbage, abandoned vehicles and helping to ensure the area is no longer easily accessible to dumping and illegal occupation. Component 1 – Roadway decommissioning at Donnelly Gulch, Component 2 – Thorne Gulch large woody debris placement and Component 3 – Deadwood Creek abandoned vehicle removal.

As determined by the Lead Agency, the actions proposed in this project are "consistent with the requirements stated in CEQA Guidelines Section 15304 and 15333(D)(5), and will have no significant environmental impacts to aesthetics, agriculture and forestland/timberland, air quality, biological resources, cultural resources, geology and soils, greenhouse gas emissions, hazards and hazardous materials, hydrology and water quality, land use planning, mineral resources, noise, population and housing, public services, recreation, transportation/traffic, or to utilities and service systems."
