Caltrans approves of the encroachment permit for Southern California Edison (SCE) to perform traffic control activities needed for crew to install one pad structure, trench approximately 32 feet in sidewalk to install duct/pull in cable, and access one existing vault to upgrade equipment on State Route (SR)118 at postmile R23 in the City of Simi Valley, County of Ventura. Excavation will have a maximum depth of 42 inches, an average width of 24 inches, and a maximum length of 32 feet. No public utilities will be relocated, and no new right-of-way will be acquired for the project.
