Document Description
The City of Galt proposes the Walnut Avenue Improvement Project to create improved pedestrian and bicycle facilities along Walnut Avenue. The City proposes to construct an overlay and upgrade bike lanes to high-visibility green standard on Walnut Avenue between Carillion Boulevard and Elk Hills Drive, a new 400-foot sidewalk on the north side of Walnut Avenue, west of Vintage Oaks Avenue, and construct pedestrian rapid flashing beacons/crosswalk on the east side of the Walnut Avenue/Emarald Vista Drive intersection.

The project site has no value as habitat for endangered, rare, or threatened species, and the project would not have significant impacts relating to traffic, noise, air quality, or water quality, and lastly would not require additional utilities or public services.
