The purpose of this project is to fulfill the visual and biological mitigation requirements for 06-1A460, the State Route 180 Two-Way Left-Turn Lane project. The project would plant 57 native oaks and 60 other trees along the riparian areas in the Mill Creek Watershed. Twenty-five of the native oaks are Blue Oaks, which will satisfy the mitigation requirements of the 1600 permit acquired for 06-1A460. The trees will be watered by a temporary irrigation system. The temporary irrigation system will be designed by the contractor. The excavation depth for each tree will be up to 2 feet. All work will be within Caltrans right-of-way.
