Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SOL-58268-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code, to Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
The Project is limited to replacement of corrugated metal pipe (CMP) culverts and new construction of rip-rap aprons and rock slope protection (RSP) at two separate locations. Project activities will result in the removal of three native trees including two bay laurel trees (Umbellularia californica) and one toyon (Heteromeles arbutifolia). A dead bay laurel that has fallen within Crossing 2 will also be removed. Shrub removal will occur within chamise chaparral vegetation and include toyon, coyote bush (Baccharis pilularis), and sumac (Anacardiaceae sp.). Additionally, trimming of shrubs and tree branches (including both live and dead trees) over drainages will occur to allow access for construction activities, as well as the removal of dead branches and debris.
In total the Project will permanently impact, 0.076 acres (273 linear feet) of stream habitat associated with culvert replacement activities, and 447 cubic yards of new fill associated with RSP.
