Document Description
This is a non-infrastructure project related to the Verde K-8 Safe Routes to School (SRTS) project to be built along Market Avenue and the intersection of Giaramita Street at Verde Avenue. The intent of this non-infrastructure SRTS project is to provide comprehensive education, community engagement and outreach, and programming such as community events, pop-up demonstrations, walking field trips, traffic safety campaigns, technical support, a transportation club, maps, and a walking school bus to promote school bicycle and pedestrian activity. Implementation of the SRTS programming at Verde K-8 School will be done by The Building Healthy Communities Program at Contra Costa Health. Programming is expected to begin in 2026 and be completed over the course of 4 years. WO#4514, CP#25-33
