Document Description
The project includes improvements to the Weaverville Community Services District's water system, including constructing a new water treatment building and a new 1-million-gallon (MG) concrete water storage tank, and installing new waterlines and power/communications conduit. The existing earthen backwash ponds would be enlarged and the concrete sedimentation basin and adjoining chemical room would be demolished. Aggregate base would be installed on new access roads, around the water treatment building, and on unpaved portions of East Weaver Creek Road. Several power poles along East Weaver Creek Road would be replaced by the Trinity Public Utilities District. A new pressure reducing valve station would be constructed northwest of the intersection of East Weaver Creek Road and Highway 3. Work on National Forest lands would include demolishing an existing 0.4 MG water tank and the existing water treatment facilities adjacent to the East Weaver Campground site, installing underground power/communications conduit, and upgrading overhead power lines. The demolished tank site would be graded, and aggregate base would be installed to provide for a parking area near the East Weaver Creek Trailhead.
