Document Description
The proposed Euismod Energy Storage Project is a battery energy storage system (BESS) facility with associated infrastructure, which will use lithium-ion batteries and ancillary equipment to store approximately 1,150 megawatts (MW) or 9,200 megawatt-hours (MWh) of electricity from the regional grid, to be supplied back as needed, on an approximate 120-acre proposed project site in the unincorporated area of southeastern Kern County, California. The proposed project includes land-use entitlement request for a Zone Change Case (ZCC), Conditional Use Permits (CUPs), Zone Variance ('ZV), and Nonsummary Street Vacations (NSVs) from the Kem County Planning & Natural Resources Department.
