Document Description
he purpose of this Fire Ignition Prevention Project is to replace the highly flammable and severely deteriorated wood fence at Residence number 10 at Mount Diablo State Park with a fire-resistant Class A composite fence to help prevent the spread of flames in a wildfire occurrence. Work will:
Remove all existing fencing around the residence;
Use a hand auger or excavate by hand up to thirty-five (35) 36-inch-deep holes spaced 8 feet apart;
Set one (1) post into each hole and backfill with excavated materials to secure; for every 3rd post backfill to grade with concrete; and
Use screws to attach Trex or equivalent composite fencing boards, with tight plank gaps for a maximum alignment of 250 feet.
