Document Description
The Orland Youth and Family Wellness Center is a proposed 9,807-square-foot, single-story (24 feet peak height) facility affiliated with the Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA). The Center, with 27 staff members, will provide integrated outpatient services for mental health and substance use disorders, specifically serving children, youth up to age 25, and their families. Standard operating hours will be 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with additional availability for services and community events during evenings (5:00–8:00 PM) and weekends. The site will include 50 parking spaces. Deliveries are expected monthly for document shredding (via a larger truck), weekly trash collection, and 1–3 small supply deliveries per week. To support the new building, plans are to improve 1.5 acres (of the 3+/- acre property) including a paved parking area, trash enclosure, accessible walkways and routes, perimeter fencing, landscaping, and exterior lighting. The building will include therapy rooms, group counseling spaces, a community room, administrative offices, waiting areas, and restrooms. Outdoor amenities will include a 1,683-square-foot courtyard and a 633-square-foot children’s play area.
