Document Description
The Shasta County Department of Public Works proposes to replace the existing bridge on Parkville Road over Ash Creek and construct the necessary approach roadway. The Parkville Road bridge is functionally obsolete and presents a public safety hazard with insufficient width for current traffic volumes, a timber railing that does not meet current safety standards, and lack of approach guardrails. The County proposes to create a new bridge crossing slightly downstream of the existing bridge, including construction of new roadway approaches. The new bridge would be a single-span, 102-foot-long by 27.50-foot-wide, reinforced concrete CIP post-tensioned box girder.
