Caltrans proposes to widen southbound shoulders to 12 feet, widen northbound
shoulders to 8 feet, provide a two-way left turn lane (TWLTL), realign the roadway,
extend culverts, replace deficient drainage systems, widen the South Wolf Creek Bridge (Br. No. 17-0005) at PM 3.61, construct one new bridge at Rattlesnake Creek (PM 8.80), construct retaining walls, replace or relocate lighting, signage, and existing traffic management systems, install new traffic management systems, replace nonstandard guardrails according to Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware (MASH) standards, and provide concrete vegetation control under guardrails on State Route 49 in Nevada County from post mile (PM) 2.10 to PM 9.80.
