Document Description
The District will resurface the existing tennis courts and add pickleball lines and lighting. The size of the courts will not change and there will be no change to student enrollment. The addition of pickleball courts will increase available capacity at the courts and provide another sport available to play on campus. The public will continue to have access to the courts.

Reasons for Exemption
The project will occur at the existing tennis courts and includes only renovations and the addition of pickleball lines and lighting. It will not cause a significant increase in traffic, noise, greenhouse gas emissions, air quality, water quality, or other cumulative impact areas. The project meets the criteria for categorically exempt in-fill development projects in CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 and minor additions to schools in CEQA Guidelines Section 15314 and none of the except ions to the categorical exemptions in CEQA Guidelines Section 5300.2 apply. Therefore, the project will not have a significant effect on the environment pursuant to CEQA and a Notice of Exemption is appropriate for the project.
