Document Description
The project consists of a cannabis operation on a 25-acre parcel at 761 Barker Valley Road in Trinity County (APN 017-440-04-00). The site comprises approximately 51,573 sq ft of total area, generally in the Southern portion of the parcel consisting of immature and mature cultivation area and a 1,980 sq ft residence. Current cultivation areas consist of a combined cultivation canopy of 9,944 sq ft (8,684 sq ft mature cultivation area, 1,260 sq ft of immature growth). Future complete cultivation area will consist of 9,900 sq ft of mature canopy and 6,000 sq ft of immature canopy, all within the permitted greenhouse spaces. Water is supplied by a permitted groundwater well and pump that is currently installed on the property. The property utilizes a permitted septic system serviced routinely as needed. Access to the site is immediately off Barker Valley Road, with a maintained gravel driveway to the parcel.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
