Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-MEN-58973-R1C, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Tony Cheung. The Project is limited to one encroachment with three elements along one stream reach within the same remediation area. The proposed encroachment is to 1) decommission and fill in a pit pond adjacent to a stream, 2) perform stream crossing decommissioning, restoration, and revegetation (to reestablish the stream channel) at three stream crossing locations on a road that accesses the pond, and 3) decommission and regrade the eroded portion of the road where the stream was previously diverted. Stream restoration work will include returning the channel to a natural condition. Two of the stream crossing locations (Sites labeled 10 and 11 on the Grading and Drainage Plan) will include rolling dips that reestablish the stream course through the road as detailed in the Notification materials. One of the stream crossing locations (Site labeled 9 on the Grading and Drainage Plan) will include recontouring and reestablishing approximately sixty feet of stream channel. Work for these encroachments will include excavation, grading and recontouring, backfilling and compaction of fill, rock armoring and the installation of BMPs as necessary to minimize erosion.
