Document Description
The omnibus code update amends Brea City Code Chapters 14.08, 20.00, 20.08, 20.11, 20.24, 20.216, 20.258, 20.408, 20.412, 20.416. The purpose of this zoning ordinance text amendment is to: 1) comply with state legislation for expedited reviews of hydrogen-fueling stations (SB 1418, 2024); 2) comply with housing laws for Focused Development Sites in the City's Housing Element; 3) improve consistency in the permitted land uses table, definitions, and parking, including the modernization of specific land use classifications; 4) clarify development standards for new construction; 5) update findings for specific applications (variances, administrative remedies); 6) enhance opportunities for public noticing; and 7) clarify certain zoning ordinance provisions and address existing grammatical errors, incorrect references and internal inconsistency.
