Document Description
This project involves the fire alarm system modernization at the Secretary of State (SOS) Building, located at 1500 11th Street, Sacramento, California. The SOS Building consists of a six-story, 531,040-square-foot state office building. The complex includes three interconnected quadrants with an open central area. The existing fire alarm system was installed in 1992 to meet the EST3 fire alarm standard and is currently lacking certain operational and replacement parts. The project will replace and upgrade the fire alarm system to EST4 standards to be fully compliant with current codes and regulations. The main fire alarm control unit will be replaced, all fourteen (14) existing fire alarm remote control panels will be upgraded, and all fire alarm terminal cabinets will be upgraded.
