Document Description
The Project will remove the deck and unpermitted revetments from within Cherry Canyon Creek (Creek), widen the Creek, and replace them with a smaller deck along with planted boulders at 413 Fulton Road in the City of San Mateo, San Mateo County. This reach of the Creek consists of unpermitted retaining walls and hardscape of differing ages and materials, including a 46-foot section of concrete channel bed. The existing hardscape has caused the development of multiple large scour holes and has the potential to be undermined further. The deck currently overhangs and shades approximately 54 square feet of the creek, and it will be removed and replaced with a smaller deck that will not overhang the Creek. The removal of unpermitted concrete hardscape will allow the Creek to widen, and this will expand the area below the top of bank by 34 square feet.
