The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is the Lead Agency for the Project. The State Water Board’s Safe and Affordable Funding for Equity and Resiliency (SAFER) Drinking Water Program is financing the Project. The State Water Board approved funding for the Project on August 26, 2025. The Project is to provide a Circuit Rider program to build technical, managerial, and financial capacity for underperforming water systems, technical assistance for capacity development of water systems, and workshops and other training events addressing water system issues.
