Document Description
Project proposes to install eight (8) Level 2 charging stations in the main parking lot at Calaveras Big Trees State Park to provide sufficient EV charging stations for park visitors. Work will:
• Remove approx. 815 sq. ft. of asphalt pavement, 234 sq. ft. of concrete sidewalk, 92 sq. ft. of landscaping and 13 sq. ft. of curbing;
• Excavate trenches up to 24-in. deep to install electrical conduit with necessary lines;
• Place warning tape 12-in. above electrical conduit and backfill per specifications;
• Grade to meet ADA slopes and match remaining paving and curb elevations;
• Install new asphalt paving and concrete sidewalks, equipment pads and bollard foundations;
• Paint new EV-only striping and accessible marking and where needed, install truncated domes;
• Install eight (8) single-port pedestal-mounted EVSE units and 5/8-in. x 8-ft copper grounding rods; and
• Connect to existing power.
