Document Description
Stonebrook Basin is an existing stormwater detention facility near California Boulevard and Old Mill Lane in Orcutt, CA. The basin property also functions as an open space park serving the surrounding neighborhoods. The proposed activity by the Santa Barbara County Flood Control and Water Conservation District involves minor improvements to improve drainage and reduce damp surface conditions on the eastern part of the property. The project involves re-contouring the basin bottom to allow stormwater and urban seepage nuisance water to drain more suitably around the perimeter of the basin. The activity involves grading the bottom of the basin, installation of new concrete inlet/outlet structures and an underground pipe to connect to the existing drain system, and re-seeding to re-establish turf and stabilize the soil. Stonebrook basin is an existing flood control facility. The activity would not expand the boundaries or change the use of the facility. The activity is a minor alteration of existing facilities.
