Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Section 15302, Class 2 (Replacement or Reconstruction)
Reasons for Exemption
The Project involves the demolition of three existing industrial warehouses totaling 289,422 square feet and the construction of a new 275,400 square foot industrial warehouse on the same site. Staff has determined that the Project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (Public Resources Code §21000 et seq.) pursuant to Section 15302, Class 2 (Replacement or Reconstruction) of the CEQA Guidelines. This exemption applies because the new facility will maintain the same use at a reduced size, and no significant environmental impacts are anticipated as a result of the redevelopment.
