Document Description
The City of Anderson proposes to contract with the California Conservation Corps for the removal of fire fuels for 2 projects in the City of Anderson. 1) The Pleasant Hills Subdivision area includes 13.61 acres of open space, drainage, and trail areas. Fuel reduction activities will occur on the entirety of open space areas. 2) Anderson River Park will include fuel reduction activities 20 feet on each side of trails and 50 feet on each side of Dodson LN. Fire fuel management activities will include removing down and dead materials as well as ladder fuels and invasive vegetation.

The project as proposed will reduce the volume of flammable vegetation by removing downed or dead vegetation in the City of Anderson, a public agency having fire protection responsibility for the areas that have been determined to require fuel clearance due to extra hazardous fire conditions. The proposed activities will not result in the taking of endangered, rare, or threatened plant or animal species, or significant erosion and sedimentation of surface waters.
